Acceptable Use Policy

• Spamming (unsolicited advertising) is not allowed
• Altered or faked user@host information is not permitted
• Denial of service attacks (dos) is strictly prohibited, as well as any abuse of AmberNet resources, including but not limited to flooding and cloning.
• Each server's staff have the right to deny access to any user(s), group, site or domain without prior warning or notification if they choose
• Distributing or requesting illegal material is forbidden on Ambernet. This includes any copyrighted material where the copyright is not owned by the user sharing the material.
• Takeovers of channels is strictly prohibited.
• Racism and Nazism is strictly prohibited.
• Warbots such as floodbots, clonebots, etc are not allowed on AmberNet.
• You must also follow any additional guidelines in the MOTD of the server to which you are connected.

Consequences of violation

If you violate any rule stated above or in the MOTD (Message Of The Day) of any AmberNet server, you will be subject to progressive disciplinary action. This includes denial of access to any specific AmberNet server or the entire network. Legal authorities may be involved if appropriate. If you evade server/network bans your ISP (Internet Service Provider) may be denied access to our network.
