	This is the homepage for the AmberNet IRC network. This network plans to be 'IRC done right'. With experienced IRC Operators and no 'gimmicks', we plan to grow into a stable and mature network over time. Giving our users a comfortable and pleasent experience when hosting their channels. irc.fucking.rememberit.com.au temporarily down

irc.fucking.rememberit.com.au is temporarily down because theBear is messing with his firewall setup.
This server has been taken out of the irc.ambernet.org round-robin DNS and will be added back once theBear has finished his new redundant firewall setup.

In the mean time, please use one of our other servers. (HINT: connect to irc.ambernet.org, this one will point you to a random online connected irc server)

irc.vanbaak.info back online

the network admins took the irc.vanbaak.info network trouble as excuse to redo all wires/switches/ipassignments in the network. They also upgraded xen to make the networkstack there a bit more robust.
Tests have been run on the network and they all show a great increase in both speed and stability.

As from now irc.vanbaak.info and irc6.vanbaak.info are back online and linked to ambernet again.

irc.vanbaak.info temporarily delinked

The last days have been pretty bad for the irc.vanbaak.info server: due to network problems, users experienced disconnects and the server kept splitting from the network. To maintain the network stability, the server is now temporarily delinked, until the problems are solved. During this downtime, please connect to other servers - there is a list on this site.

Planned downtime for irc.ankeborg.nu

irc.ankeborg.nu will go down for an OS upgrade (OpenBSD 4.0 -> 4.1) and Ratbox upgrade (2.2.4 -> 2.2.5) within the next couple of days. The server should be back up within 20 - 60 minutes.

irc.fucking.rememberit.com.au relinked

After talking to theBear he fixed his spoofs.conf and access to the configfiles so we decided to unjupe irc.fucking.rememberit.com.au.
You should be able to use this server as before.

irc.vanbaak.info back

Thanks to my work I was able to get a new firewall/router online. It's a temporary one till I saved enough money for a soekris setup, but it is routing traffic!
This means irc.vanbaak.info and irc6.vanbaak.info are back online!

irc.vanbaak.info down

The router/firewall of irc.vanbaak.info and chanfix.ambernet.org has died.
Since I dont have the resources to get a new box up and running soon it wont be back for at least two weeks.

Sorry for the mess. Connect to one of the other servers of the network.

irc.riblet.co.uk is no more.

It's with a heavy heart that I announce that I'm throwing in the towel. riblet will be no more. There is no point keeping a server which only has a few users on it. And now with issues regarding virri connecting to the network, I don't see any point to continue with the hassle which has become running an irc server.

I will remain on Ambernet for as long as I'm able, and I will continue to provide other, non-ircd related services (such as the quote database) for as long as possible.

riblet was linked with what is now irc.ambernet.se in Janurary 2005. And I've been proud to watch the network grow over this time. However, riblet's time has passed. It's going, and it's not coming back.

Thank you to everyone who has given me their time and support when I was learning how to be a irc admin.
